Big John... my kind of 2fer

Ironically, as we rolled into Metropolis on our way to visit a larger - than - life superhero, we bumped into Big John, The Grocery Clerk!  At 25-30 feet tall, Big John is difficult to miss!

Now, about the 2fer... In geocaching terms, a 2fer is short for a 2-for-one and the term is typically used when a geocache and geodesic marker (benchmark) are located together.  Cachers can then log the cache and benchmark at the same stop.    Since I don't keep up with benchmarks, most 2fers are 1fers for me.  :)

But this stop is special.... Big John is protecting a geocache AND he is also a Roadside America attraction!  Now, if you know the way I travel, you know I ♡ the Roadside America website.  It is a collection of quirky, eclectic attractions sprinkled all over the USofA.  It is tough for me to travel without checking the site!

THAT is my kind of 2fer!
