Finding caches... and cachers?

You never know what you will find when you set off into the woods... especially when your entry point is a rest stop along a Washington highway!

We went in looking for a geocache, but when we saw the back of 2 human heads... we knew we weren't alone.  I saw them, but they hadn't seen me.  Not willing to walk away from the cache yet... I went into stealth - mode and followed them a few steps...

Then I saw "it"... a gps.  I knew they were "one of us".  I called out to let them know we were there and that we were cachers, too.  A few short introductions and we set off to hunt together.  We appeared to all be walking in circles when Lab Peepl pulled the cache from the thicket.  Nice score.

The only thing better than finding a cache is finding new geo-buds, too!

Lab Peepl and Stuck in 4th are geocaching sisters from Arizona!  They are in town for the Block Party, too!   Clyde gave the ladies each a pathtag (a first for one of them!), they logged the geo-mobile trackable... and then we parted ways.  Hoping our paths cross again!

P.S. -  Swiz spotted this tree growing from a tree while we were hunting in circles.    I think my flower-picking, butterfly-chasing, tree-hugging geocaching style is starting to wear off on her!   Makes me smile...
