Yellowstone... the only words I could find...

Words can't describe Yellowstone.  Even pictures and video can't convey the awe....

Pure.... Raw... Intense... Beauty....

♡♡♡♡♡

There is protection here.... something about the landscape that makes you feel like no other world exists beyond the boundaries of the park.... makes you feel encapsulated the way a baby is comforted by a womb.....

There is power here... from the rushing waters of Gibbon River that cascade down the falls.... to the smallest of geyser holes that spew the tiniest amount of steam and bubbled water... to the obvious, Old Faithful... WOW!   You literally feel the power before you see it, you are drawn to it when you hear it....

There is simplicity here... an easy way of beauty in the most basic of tangible things....

There is calm here... something that draws you in and makes you want to stay... makes you want to come back over, and over, and over again...

I will be forever grateful that I have experienced Yellowstone with my two youngest children (roadtrip a few years ago) and again with my two bestest geo-buds.   It's a place to share, a place to be together, a place to experience through not just your eyes, but simultaneously through the eyes... and hearts... of those you enjoy!

As an added bonus... The Tick-Magnets even cached at Yellowstone!   We snagged the Geocaching Blog Cache of the Week (August 7th, IsthisstillEarth?).... Rainbow's End: Grand Prismatic Spring (GC1JY47).   We also snagged a couple of virtuals!   We didn't clear out all of the smileys, so obviously... we need to return!  ;)

Unexpectedly a benchmark caught our eye as we were viewing a waterfall!   Getting a good pic was a little tricky though!

The Tick-Magnets had the pleasure to enjoy part of the park with a couple of geocachers from Ontario, Canada!   Swiz, in a geo-tshirt, attracted their attention at the Grand Prismatic Spring (GPS for short... heehee... a little geocaching humor!).   It was great to get to talk to Bankfoot and Bankfoot Mrs about their travels and we wish them well on their journey to see their daughter.
