Porter Sculpture Park

Some places are worth revisiting!   Porter Sculpture Park in Montrose, SD is definitely one of them!  The 2 Micros and I found this accidentally while on a cross - country roadtrip a few years ago.  While traveling across the state, you can't miss the large (60 foot tall) bull that commands the hillside!

Wayne Porter, the artist, and his beautiful blue - eyed dog eagerly greet you when you pull up.  Be ready to pet and love on the dog... and don't mention going for a "ride"!  The dog gets overexcited if he thinks you will take him with you on a golf cart!  :)

Fun, quirky, satirical...and even philosophical... statues dot a landscape that was once home to a herd of buffalo.

Wayne has quite a sense of humor.... His buzzard collection is actually quite funny!

Oops!  (Blush!!)  We were so distracted, we forgot to snag the geocache!  (Another) U-turn and a few minutes later, the smiley was ours!
