Starting Day 5... Centered!

While North Dakota lays claim to the center of North America and Kansas lays claim to the center of the 48....  Belle Fourche, SD is the official center of the 50 United States!   It is a quiet little town.. especially when you arrive before the visitors center even opens... HeeHee!

The visitors center does host the Center of the United States Memorial,  but truth be told... The actual geodesic marker lays about 20 miles north!  Maps to the marker are available inside the visitors center... but you have to come when they are open!  :).  We opted to drive on without waiting..  we have plenty of miles to cover today... South Dakota, Wyoming, and Utah on the agenda!
