Ogden... and all of its Artsy-Fartsy

Ogden wasn't part of our original travel plans.  We had intended to make a quick jaunt into Utah for a smiley via Rock Springs, WY but hotel room shortages forced us down a different road!  And I am grateful it did! (I always say things happen exactly the way they are supposed to!)

After a night of rest, we set off to take a special picture for a sweet lady that is originally from Ogden and is now in Middle Georgia.  Tonya.. This is for you!

As luck would have it, we found out there was a traditional cache right there!  (See, we don't always think of caching first... but it always makes it near the top of the to - do list!  Haha).   With a goal of one traditional cache and at least one other icon per state, we decided to tackle the virtual at Union Station.  What a beautiful building!

Union Station was also host to much of the street Artsy-Fartsy of Ogden!  Painted horses, yarn bombs, and even a painted piano!   The onsite grill had the best heavy, rusted chairs that just begged for a sit-upon!  Being treated to a private concert by Clyde was definite highlight of my trip!   Luckily the autograph session that followed was short and sweet!  :)

Refocus Mac, refocus... we are here for a virt!

The virt cache was historical and interesting.. it was exciting to realize we were only 53 miles from where the Golden Spike was driven for the First Transcontinental Railroad!
